DRS delighted to announce acquisition of surescan
This week, DRS are proud to announce an investment that has the potential to change our business offering dramatically: the acquisition of surescan.
With their vision of ´realising the paperless office´, surescan has long offered clients a range of services, including cataloguing, document scanning, indexing, image retrieval, document storage and back-up, microfiche, microfilm and aperture card scanning.
Combining our own UK coverage and document storage experience with surescan´s document scanning expertise, we will now be able to offer DRS customers a ´one stop shop´ for document archiving, digitisation, retrieval and destruction.
For surescan, this means a slight name change, becoming DRS-surescan. Their customers will receive the same high level of local, friendly service from the same reliable team that they´re used to, with the added benefits of our wider secure courier and storage network. The move also extends our UK coverage with the addition of the new DRS South West site, near Bristol.
Most crucially, DRS customers will now benefit from “Scan on Demand” a service that dovetails fantastically with our own offering. We currently retrieve securely stored documents physically, so scanning offers a greener, quicker, cheaper and easier method of document recall.
“This is really great news for DRS. Surescan compliments us perfectly and we are confident that our new Bristol site, with its exciting range of services, will further satisfy our valued customers´ needs. Welcome aboard!”
DRS Managing Director, Adam Haworth
“This is fantastic news for everyone at surescan, including our loyal customers who´ll now benefit from an even wider range of services. Our two businesses compliment each other greatly and we look forward to adding to the DRS offer”
Surescan Managing Director, Lynn Broughton
